Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Now the experts are weighing in on how a business or businesses should be run?
You guys crack me up!
Now you want travel companies to have VR and make it free because you said so?

How advanced is the hardware in some of these mobile units? SULON, OPEN SOURCE VR, and upcoming Android Mobile?
Well, The "cellphone vr mobile" market is limited to the chips power in the smartphone.

But the current gen of devices have not been built with VR in mind.
The chip manufactures are working on the next gen of chips with VR in mind.
We should see some of that improvement in the Note5 when it hits the market.
A low power consuming quad core GPU SOC goes a long way.

The size, power consumption and heat generation of a graphics hungry device are the issue.

I would predict in a couple of years, we may see the current quality delivered to a PC delivered to the smartphone with still 'some limitations'. I think it will advance more rapidly until it catches up.
But it's on the chip mfg's back right now with pressure from the smatphone co's and google..

OSVR is not a mobile device. Not enough details on the Sulon released to say exactly what may be doing the heavy lifting outside of the AMD chips inside or it's limitations outside of 360 video.

I can see some people paying for a virtual tour. I mean if a website gets 250k visits a month and 1% of the traffic pays for a VR tour for $5.00 would be $12,500 a month? Am I wrong here to think this would be profitable? If I were going to Vegas I would probably pay for a few VR Tours of $5.00 to see what I would go see most or not at all. Someone shed some light for me because I think this could be very profitable.....

For those who have VR domains in the Tourism niche. Do you expect people to pay for a virtual tour? if so what do you think the average fee with be? Or, do you think most will be free and make money from advertising? I thought I read earlier this year about a company charging $100 for 3 hour virtual tour? if this is true, then a good website with lots of traffic would make a loot on tourism? Thoughts?
While do I see Virtual Tourism as a BIG THING,
I do not see a large demand for names in the use of it.

Hotel/Motel and local chambers of commerce will likely be the largest exploiters of it for free, But if you are truly promoting a area, you will not show everything there is to see as so to entice users to visit.
Those folks don't really need a 'VR NAME'.

That leaves some to collect the pieces with a more embodied PayPerView tourism.
So I see a few of these type players and most will be likely to use BRANDED names with or without 'VR'.
Need for some names... yes, It's really a question of how many VRnames.
I'm sure the category killers and a few others will do well.

I see a higher VR names demand in the VR production company's that put that type stuff together.
They are going to want VR/360/Virtual in their name brand.

I know some do not feel the same about it as me. JMHO

I can dentally VegasVR.com getting lots of traffic. I own a nice tourism VR+geo domain myself and was thinking about selling but I can see so much more potential on developing it. What is your thoughts on paid VR tours?

This company is charging $100 for a 3 hour tour !!

Most of the experiences will likely be free, to start. You want to get people hooked, before you start reeling them in. Most content producers are also just looking to get people involved, and excited by VR, at the moment. So, they're happy to make the content free. Bigger, more popular, content producers/brands, might have paid apps. Like: "A ticket to DisneyLand costs $155, but DisneyLandVR is just $34.99!".

VR Tours could be Museum Tours - Whitehouse tours - Amazon / African Jungle tours - National Tours - Historical Tours - Jurassic Tours - Si-Fi Tours - Fantasy Tours - TimeTravel Tours - Premium Tours etc..

Every person dreams of traveling around the Globe / particular places, but cannot afford / access. (Remember Carl and Ellie!?)

Well, VR Tours is the solution!

Cheers!

Android VR Placeholder Pops Up In The Google Play Developer Console

Yesterday we reported on a rumor that Google would unveil a new "Android VR" platform at Google I/O next week, along with a standalone headset. Today we're seeing what looks like additional evidence. Folks who sign into the Google Play Developer Console are seeing Android VR alongside Android Wear, Android TV, and Android Auto.

No, it's not a mirage. The icon has appeared in the Pricing & Distribution area. Clicking doesn't do anything yet, unlike the other platforms. The current icon is the same as that of Android Wear, which suggests that this is only a placeholder for now — that, plus further confirmation of Google's upcoming plans.

I've been getting on the keyword "Free" and "VR" a bit now. I think VR is a great Value added product. Many times freebies have been used to hook potential buying customers. The best product to give away for free is a digital item or coupon or discount that can be easily replicated over and over again in this case a VR video that can be viewed over and over again as a "thank you" for buying a 52 screen TV from Best Buy.

Wanna sell that car? hook them in with a Free VR whatever.

Most likely VR will be free anyways. but the word FREE always gets a potential customer or visitors attention. especially if the word FREE is in the domain name.

so registered

FreeTourVR.com
FreeVRTour.com
VRFreeTours.com
VRFreeTour.com

case in point. which would you naturally gravitate to?

TourVR.com?
or
FreeTourVR.com?

A word of advice. Don't reg domains with the word free in it...

The traffic / customers have little value and a end user will not pay big bucks for something a customer is trying to get for free... not worth targeting (maybe only for upselling a product / service with a huge profit margin not something like tours).

I only have two vr domains with the keyword free in it: FreeSpinsVR and VRFreeSpins, targeting slots players.

I understand what you mean. Think Youtube.com does youtube sell Videos? NOPE yet it's "main product" is Videos that people upload. The money is advertising when you use the "free" angle. I really think VR is the perfect "replacement" for Youtube. so VR domains that have the word FREE is just the next step in the evolution of the cure for "boredom".

even my:

FreeChatVR.com

can make money. visitors come because of the word FREE. they Chat then couple of minutes they get "cut off" and must submit credit card info. oldest trick of the internet "book" or the visitor can be submitted to a barrage of Cost Per Action ads.

can't I actually had to explain that. lol. but thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.

Youtube has millions of visitors and they where making a loss for many years... (they didn't care because they had enough money to take the losses)

But in my posting i was refering to your tour domains... And in general domains with free in it doesn't do well. I have regged many domains in the past with free in it.. cam domains... but they didn't bring revenue (paying customers) and they didn't sell at Sedo.

sweet!!! Good luck! nice logo.

I like the "No Deposit Bonus" keywords combo with VR. seems to be a "thing" among internet gamblers. lol I don't even know what it means really just that it's popular.
