Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

just out of curiousity found this. and surprised it was not taking especially when there are sites such as MotoringTV.com and Motoring Australia and motoring.co.uk and status-motoring.com

unbelievablely MotoringVR.com was not taken.
too late to the picnic with DriveVR.com and DriverVR.com.

MotoringVR.com it's sounds nice too. I like it.

No not me, I have calmed down a little on the aftermarket now.

I think I need to downsize my portfolio a little so waiting a few months to do that before adding much more :)

Things are moving foward nicely though so pretty sure those low ball offers will gain momentum in the near future.

Not sure about low to high $$$$ but might have value.
Its still a betting game for most names imo

The way I see things playing out in the medium term (The Crystal Ball Outlook) :

While this year and most of next will be about HMD's
Next year will be about input devices, hand gesture tracking and cameras.

Games and 360 video to dominate over the next year and a half only to be followed by things like
VR Chatrooms, Training Sim's and full fledged Virtual Experiences in 2018/19.
While we see some of that in it's infancy now,
the Experiences are limited by limits of consumer computer power and internet bandwidth.

Something to think about in how and when the VR names play.

How advanced is the hardware in some of these mobile units? SULON, OPEN SOURCE VR, and upcoming Android Mobile?

For those who have VR domains in the Tourism niche. Do you expect people to pay for a virtual tour? if so what do you think the average fee with be? Or, do you think most will be free and make money from advertising? I thought I read earlier this year about a company charging $100 for 3 hour virtual tour? if this is true, then a good website with lots of traffic would make a loot on tourism? Thoughts?

Hotels and resorts are already marketing themselves with VR. That type of stuff will be free I think.

...agreed. I think it should be free. Companies offering the VR service will be getting business somehow from it(either advertising or maybe people booking trips) I can't see people paying. I know I definitely wouldn't pay.
