Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
EMD domains will always have their place, even if not so much for the seo power but for the nature of human behaviour to click a link that more closely resembles their current mind path.

The long answer would need an entire book on the development of seo and machine learning, encyclopedic intelligence and language semantics.

The short version in my mind is if you can get the emd for your market then do it, it will help.

At the end though the saying content is king still stands, but now measurable metrics are also king. So if people search for something and they click your page, do not bounce, interact, converse etc, then those metrics alone will be a strong indicator to your relevance.

Sorry if I did not answer clearly, I tend to avoid talking about seo on here as I tend to upset people for some reason. :)

Totally geeked out there. But very much appreciated. Great useful info. I guess we just need to carefully choose our keywords for VR domains. Thanks

I only have a handful of VR domains, lost the ride. Caught up Holo slightly and entered into Lightfield which I believe is the tech correlated to VR to a great extent.

A) As per me, it's as per below order:

- Headset (Obvious reasons)
- Room (Considering Vroom.com is the highest reported sale)
- TV (As its the most popular & expensive keyword overall)
- Game
- Gaming
- Gambling
- Sex

- can't think of more

Yes that is true. I acquired a very nice 4 L .com with VR in it that has a great vacation rental name option that fits along with a great virtual reality name that fits. 2 meanings, 1 price.

I expect VR to have a big impact on and be strongly associated with training, development & education as well.

The closest I got was LREVR.COM and VRLRE.COM for " luxury real estate VR.com"

@Together4Forever , Vroom is not connected to VR.
Besides, dont forget about sales that are not reported.
You got VRfilms, VRmovies..
Everything that is connected to the film industry is blowing up right now..

I have been very intrigued to know who owned VRTV.com & see the potential of perhaps owning it someday.
I own VRonTV.com and I'm not a chinese company. Perhaps, I will not own it some day ;)

VrFilms I don't really understand, if you are in virtual reality than why would u watch a movie in it. I can completely understand VRgaming but VRfilms and Vrcinema I fail to believe will be big.

Although I am happy to hear your reasoning for it.

Lol sorry friend. Do yourself a favor and go on alibaba and search for "VR 9d cinema" and it's not VR cinema= "experience going to the movie theater." More like actually entering a movie like Superman vs. Batman. Think of it like those "mystery dinner" experiences like Clue. Where you are actually in the show. Imagine getting the "point of view" of any character in the movie just by clicking on that character. Imagine having the point of view of say Luke Skywalker as he's about to blow up the death star in his x wing fighter.;)

The following article is from last spring, but should give some insight. It is merely one article in a sea of many. Simply research the subject of virtual reality film, or film making, and the like, as there should be plenty to read. Search also this years various film festivals, as they have quite a bit to add on the subject. Good luck.

6 Ways Virtual Reality Will Change Filmmaking
"The leap from film to VR is even bigger than the leap from radio to film was."

question:

Would u handreg a 5L with vr at the end and only dot com of course,
just to own them since they are 5L dot com, even if the acronym doesn't make a lot of sense in English?

I have a list of xxxvr. com available to reg still ive found but not sure if they are worth regging due to meaning or lack of, but they may have some in Chinese or other language for all I know.

I cant give u exact domains of course but hope im explaining this right.

I would and they don't have to make sense in English ( you can make your own acroymns)...and as far as I am concerned...5L coms are worth keeping expecially at reg fee!
Just my opinion.

I have a question...
Been thinking about GEO and VR like (example top of my head) BostonVR etc.
Any opinions?
Thanks

good to hear on 5l issue!

geo + vr is a no brainer imo

ive been regging what I can find but with vr at end instead of beginning of domain if possible but will reg at beginning if other is taken

don't forget geo + 360

even geo + vir style but my last choice if at all

I like Geo+VR names. They're versatile, and fairly safe.

NewYorkVR could be:

VR tourism app about New York.
VR community hub in New York.
VR Arcade in New York.
VR content producer/solutions provider in New York.
& then you have all the various meanings of "VR", such as Vacation Rentals, Vocational Rehab, Vintage Racing...

VRNYNY.Com

NYNYVR.Com
