We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

Seems like LLL prices is not rising so fast as LLLL prices..so we see bubble only on LLLL's..
QEI.com sold for $14.500 on 9 September, so i thing now it is minimum wholesale price for LLL, as it is lowest LLL sale price reported for the last few months.

I still not understand that noob Chinese domainers & investors who purchase ton's of hard to remember and pronounce LLLL for $1k-2k when there is a lot of LLL with same "Chinese letters" for $15-20k range which can be easily afforded by any mid-level company. For one pcs of LLL in times will be easy to find end user with good budget than for 10 or even 50 pcs of LLLL. All this LLLL demand made by resellers, not end-users, absolutely different situation with LLL, a lot of puchases done by end-users, so we see "real" demand on LLL market instead of LLLL, but prices rise on LLLL..only reason of that I see that all this "domainers" which is limited in funds, so they invest funds in that LLLL's with hopes on end-users..

Can you point to those LLL.coms for 15-20K, please?

For Chinese domainers those hard-pronounceable domains aren't hard at all. It's all acronyms in Chinese.

While there's a good chance you are right about end users buying LLL.com I checked all domains sold at last page and just 1 of them is used DAR.com. So your theory didn't pass the road test, other names either not resolving or for sale, some of them by Chinese.

HAJ.com $19,500

QJS.com - $150k
AUX.com - $100k

I thing minimum wholesale price of any LLL.com must be $100k, all this $100k+ sales proofs that for real buyer(company) this sum is affordable and for that reason domainers like Mike Berkens reply on inquiries at least with $100k asking price and that's the right decision.

Is anyone have stats how much (%) of LLL.com used as developed websites?

Not much, I was checking last page of sold names reported in this thread and only DAR.com was developed by end-user. The rest are not delegated or listed for sale.

Of course, there might be a lot of developed names from years ago, but recently they change hands as investment mostly.

I'm working on it. I have the full database of LLL.com (owner, registar, prices, DNS...), but it'll take me a while since I'm doing it in spare time.

Wow you have great DB, you can even create analogue of 3charracter.com which is forgot by it's owner. It will be interesting to see dynamic of LLL.com prices grow and their development dynamics.

Seems like everyone now busy with LLLL.com's euphoria provoked by Chinese noob domain buyers, no interest to this thread at all :)

There's interest, but noone is selling at the reasonable prices.

You could get LLL.com for 10-12k early in 2015.
But thanks for the "LLLL.com's euphoria provoked by Chinese noob domain buyers" all LLL.com owners now think that they can get at least 30-50K for the names they were happy to sell for 15K just 6 month ago.

F.e. there's LLL.com name that was bought in March for 12K, yesterday I've seen it listed at the other domain forum for 300K.
Is it reasonable?

The LLL.com threads are always less active as most domainers wont be forking $5K, $10K or $30k for a domain.

You can buy LLLL.com names for less than $50 so there is a huge difference in the prices between LLL and LLLL

Prices even of lowest LLLL.com rose already to 150-200 USD, with chinese premium lowest prices exceeding 1K.
But in general I agree, most domainers are not in the market for LLL.com

3L.com was always undervalued, that's for sure. Currently 3L.com prices is going to floor price where they must be few years ago ($35k). I don't know any serious domainer who accepted less than $100k for their 3L.com's and that is absolutely reasonable as any middle level (im not even talking about large companies) can afford $100k purchase as that's not so big sum nowadays.

Situation with 4L.com absolutely different as currently there euphoria only because of noobs and Chinese with available funds, anyone can afford this names and because of this bubble happened, all this 4L.com traded within domainers for years, no end-customers at all, as it's really diffucult to find any serious company who uses 4L acronym in their name and if they exit, they are already using their 4L domain, so all 4L.com owners hopes now only on new registered companies with such acronyms..and I don't thing any western company will use in their name 4L accronym as it's not too smart to promote such company with 4L acronym, no one will remember that company name, i thing 99% of companies when decide to name their company with acoryms they are limited maximim to 3L acronym at least because of the marketing & advertising purposes.
