Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The pending escrow is over,
Sold keyword+VR+Keyword for mid $XXXX, offer/counter offer.

just registered VRADR. Was surprised it was available, as I think VR could be useful for alternative dispute resolution.
Also registered VRArbitrate and VRDisputeResolution this week. My first hand-regs in a few months.

Figure anything out about this?

learned a lot abotu domainagents.com since the offer for sure..

I want to counter but before I do I emailed them to find out if they work like godaddy auction or sedo.. and if previous offers get voided by nenw ones or not

should know soon

nice place otherwise. buyer need to pay like $20 jsut to make offer.. so at least they're serious. I added my stuff to their marketplace. but people obviously can request to use them to buy domains without owners adding them to marketplace.. which is exactly what happened to this VR .net of mine.. somoene just wanted to use them as broker to handle the negotiations/sale.

will keep posted
cheers

Facebook to Put Spotlight on Virtual Reality at F8 Conference, May Show Off New Headset

Virtual reality (VR) is getting a lot more attention at Facebook’s annual F8 developer conference this year: The event, which will be held in San Jose next week, will feature a number of sessions and announcements related to VR. The company may also use F8 to show off the latest prototype of its standalone VR headset.

Facebook is keeping details on any VR-related announcements at F8 tightly under wraps, something that one of the company’s partners compared to Steve Jobs-like secrecy in a conversation with Variety. But the conference schedule already lists 8 VR-related talks and sessions.

That’s not only four times as many as last year, it also makes VR the third-most-popular topic at the conference, based on the number of scheduled sessions. Instagram, WhatsApp, and even a topic as essential as monetization each has fewer sessions scheduled than VR. Some of the subjects on the schedule include social VR, VR gaming, and web-based VR experiences.

Crytek-Incubated ‘VR First’ Program to Double Number of Academic VR/AR Labs in 2017

VR First, the global initiative to seed academic institutions with VR/AR hardware and software, today announced that it’s nearly doubling the number of its VR labs in universities and science parks across the globe by the end of 2017. With currently 26 labs operating in the United States, Europe, Asia and Oceania, VR First is bringing the number to 40 labs by the end of year.

Unveiled last January by Crytek, the now fully-independent VR First program is designed to foster innovation by not only creating independent VR labs where they once weren’t, but by also converting PC labs into AR/VR-ready facilities—and it’s doing it in top universities and science parks across 23 countries including Purdue University, University of Florida, University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering, Oklahoma State, and Vancouver Film School.

LasVR is very nice!

I have a similar gambling-related VR mashup that I think has some potential... (In my mind, it is evocative of "Poker"...)

Lucasfilm to Bring 'Star Wars' Virtual Reality Headsets to Hospitals for Kids ( Exclusive )

Starlight Virtual Reality, a new VR initiative launching later this year, will put 270 VR headsets into hospitals across the country, and will feature content from the Star Wars universe, as well as from Google Expeditions, Daydream, Google Earth VR and Tilt Brush.

Star Wars: Force for Change is the founding sponsor of the program, which is receiving additional funding from Niagara Cares and VR technology powered by Google.

“We’re excited to announce the launch of Starlight VR, which we believe will be a game changer in the pediatric health care space,” said Chris Helfrich, CEO of Starlight Children’s Foundation. “We’re excited to have Lucasfilm and Disney, Google and Niagara Cares alongside us as we harness the power of virtual reality to bring more smiles to hospitalized kids when and where they need it most.”
