Do you know if PDR Ltd./ PublicDomainRegistry.com partners with a particular name catching service/drop service? Or perhaps they have their own? The registration service I primarily use, Resell.biz, uses the Public Domain Registry. What other companies resell for them? Am I right in guessing...

I don't really like using dropcatch but much of the time, they're able to capture great domains; however, when they do, they completely destroy the domains original registration date, versus another dropcatch such as namejet or snapnames. Why is this? Once the original registration date is gone...

A .co.uk domain name that I really like is due to expire, and 7 different drop catching/backordering sites say that it can't be booked because it's currently suspended. Do domains become suspended the moment they expire, or is there a specific amount of time after that that they don't? Thank you.

so there was a discussion going on what a registrar should be doing when a domain drops 1) should they be allowed to keep it for their own use and exploitation? 2) should they always give it back to the pool?

I'm curious. DropCatch is about my only "competitor" for expiring .com names. About 40% of names I aim for are sniped by DropCatch, and the rest I mostly get to reg. ( There's also SnapNames, but much less often. Also maybe 1 in 25 names is caught by other registrars, backorders etc. Overall...
