Watched an episode of the handmaids tail on hulu with my wife last night.

That series isn't about oppression and patriarchy, it's about democrats abandoning the constitution. Best propaganda for originalist / textualist SCOTUS nomination ever written. #1A, #2A.

I see why feminist like it though, it let's them live-out their fantasies without getting off the couch.

Turnover in the top ranks of Trump’s White House has reached 61 percent. By this point under Obama it was 14 percent and under Bush 5 percent.

The EU party is going to end.

Lots of more great MAGA news coming out to perhaps wake up more populism and upset EU Brussels arrogance.

European leaders worried.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...fs-threat-hits-heart-of-german-export-economy

Merkel is such a great leader, maybe Maxine might be offered a Lobbyist job in Brussels.

The eurozone’s anti-crisis strategy since 2012 has been short-sighted, pushing the current account into a strong surplus and expecting the world to absorb it. It was a beggar-thy-neighbour strategy, more appropriate for small countries than the world’s second-largest economy. The reason why such a strategy is unsustainable is now becoming clear. It makes you vulnerable to protectionist action, such as the 25 per cent tariffs on steel and the 10 per cent tariffs on aluminium imposed by the US. These are due to take effect on Friday, barring a last-minute reprieve. Germany is a large exporter of steel to the US, but steel is only a side show. The real issue is whether Mr Trump is going to follow up on his repeated threats by slapping tariffs on imported cars. The Brussels-based think-tank Bruegel calculated the effects of a hypothetical 35 per cent tariff hitting the European car industry — it comes up with a revenue loss estimate of €17bn a year. The overall economic impact would be higher because of network effects.

The EU is not only hooked on exports but also on producing cars to sell to the world

“One could argue that it is immoral to use trade policy in this way. But that argument loses force if you consider the morality of the EU’s policy to run a large and persistent surplus with the rest of the world. Or indeed of making defence spending promises they had no intention of keeping.

This trade war is indeed easy to win. It is going to be the equivalent of the fool’s mate in chess: the game could all be over in two moves.”

Perhaps it's because European and Japanese makes are better and more fuel-efficient, hence US car makers are struggling to find buyers overseas.

When you resort to protectionist measures, it's because you have a competitiveness problem.
Punitive trade tariffs do nothing to address the core issue.

But this is an oversimplification, Europe is not more hooked on exports than the US is.

AP posted a fake news story: "AP NewsBreak: The U.S. Army has moved in recent weeks to discharge dozens of immigrant recruits and reservists who enlisted through a program that promised them a path to citizenship."

The truth, people are being separated b/c they couldn't pass a background check, criminal record, lying, etc. Most didn't even make it to basic training.

The real shocker ( not ) are all the progs and libs retweeting the headline, expressing outrage at Trump admin. Unamerican, Unpatriotic bla, bla bla.

This is why conservatives don't care about Trump's constant bullshit. He's still better than most every democrat politician, hollywood thought-leader, journalist or fake indian.

Moral of the story? If you're a democrat, the media will let you get away with just about anything.

North Korea Calls U.S. Stance in Latest Talks ‘Regrettable’

* North Korea Says Attitude and Stance Shown by U.S. During Latest Talks Are ‘Regrettable’

* Says U.S. Only Came Forward With ‘Unilateral and Firm Denuclearization Demands’ That Ran Counter to Singapore Talks

* Says Issues Raised by U.S. are Similar to Ones Previous Administrations Have Insisted On and Are ‘Cancerous’ Issues That Just Amplify Distrust and Risk of War

The North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, who met Mr. Pompeo on both previous visits to Pyongyang, did not meet the U.S. secretary of state on this occasion.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/pompeo-cites-progress-in-north-korea-nuclear-talks-1530967772?mod=e2tw

NYT from NK: "Many people who have negotiated with N. Korea...believe what Mr. Pompeo has said privately...North has no intention of surrendering its nuclear and ballistic missile programs, and that the negotiations will inevitably fail."

It's the kind of wishful thinking that is dangerous when people in power truly believe in their messianic dreams and are determine to pursue them against past experience and common sense. Another example not so long ago: Americans were told that after invading their country and humiliating them, Iraqis would be greeting US troops with flowers. You know the deal on that. We are still reeling from the mess.
This is a tough world, the dreamers, the naïves and the irrational don't stand a chance.

FBI arrest man for threatening to kill Ajit Pai's family ( repeatedly )

Capitol police arrest man for threatening to kill Sen. Rand Paul.

Sen. Kamala Harris doesn't know who signed the Declaration of Independence or how America was founded.

MSNBC advocating harassing Republicans in public, "should be a life sentence"

NYT editorial suggest "going to the mattress" ( Godfather reference ) over SCOTUS pick.

Wages still rising.
