Spatial computing is the digitization of activities of machines, people, objects, and the environments in which they take place to enable and optimize actions and interactions.

The term Spatial computing summarizes many complex aspects of technology. As a result, many people hesitate to deal with the concept behind it.

Nevertheless, many applications used on a regular basis are based on spatial computing: From GPS to ride-sharing apps and location tagging on social media to AR apps.

Spatial computing was defined in 2003 by Simon Greenwold, as "human interaction with a machine in which the machine retains and manipulates referents to real objects and spaces

After desktop and mobile computing, the next big tech era will be spatial computing—also known as augmented reality—in which computer graphics are overlaid on the world around the user.

Let's showcase spatial related domains, discuss ,share any news or recent sales . I got this

No killer apps yet. Hopefully they will come in the next year or two.

Mass adoption will come most likely with the lightweight, outdoor Smart Glasses.

The quite expensive indoor headset is a niche for now.

One of my domains spatialwriter .com was accepted at atom (formerly squadhelp.com). Let's see how far this one will go.

Makes sense. But I think the grave meme is only accurate if they don't plan on developing an second edition. They reportedly sold out the first version. But if there's less demand of course it makes sense to cut production down.

They are probably focusing on developing the ecosystem (no killer app yet) and making a much more affordable version.

But if anything, I highly doubt that they would give up completely, abandoning Vision Pro, because they likely expected a possible decline in sales in their long term plans.

But this is may be still bad news for Spatial domains though, because it means a likely delay in any progress of usage of the term. It's still growing popular, but nothing like if there were "killer apps" running viral abd making the Vision Pro a highly sought after device.
