I'm looking forward for GoDaddy to adapt the installment plan. It would be nice and affordable for small business like me. :)

While we do not advertise the service we do allow people to pay in installments on some larger transactions using escrow.com. The name would have to be over $25k and the seller would have to be open to it of course, and there are some other things to consider but it is done from time to time if the seller is ok with it.

What about GoDaddy own inventory? Are you open to installment plan as well?

Send me email EM @ KING.NET to discuss this offline.

Thank you.

we have a sales team that handles all the sales prices and terms for those names. http://namefind.com/contact/ if you contact them there with the name you can ask them for terms and see what they say. As I said it is not usual and the price needs to be high enough and there are some other stipulations so it's best to approach them directly to see if they are willing on the name you want.

Namefind.com is GoDaddy property?

Would love to see GD drop installment plan figures down to $10-$15K... But back to the original article, great post with some useful information. I'm surprised so many sellers are willing to do installments, something I never really thought about much. Is it easy to setup installments through Escrow.com or Moniker Escrow?

@FPForum
I've used Snapnames Escrow and eCop, easy to setup and lower fees.

I haven't use Escrow.com because of a minimum $75K minimum.

Sorry to be the one to say this... but those names are pretty bad.
