Why would a broker charge $280 upfront plus 25%?

Just list your name on Afternic or DAN and pay 15% with nameservers pointed. They have internal brokers.

Yeah no broker required here really. Unless it's a very specific number that applies to a certain field/niche it'll only ever be worth its liquid value which you can get on one of the main marketplaces. Save your money.

the member who quoted them and sent a pm, had just joined the forum a few days ago.
