Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

I have had it in my head that before gen-2 VR gets here, hand gestures will be the normal input.
I thought that leap-motion style IR cams for that were going to be the 'thing' and as I can now see,
Samsung intends to make their own on the cheap for GearVR.

I Still think VR haptics is wide open for names. Just can't decide what might be needed. Too early ??

The holoportation names were snatched up not long ago. I'm sure there will be a TM if not already.

I hold a similar meaning domain (but longer and thus of lesser quality) which could also go for either VR or vacation rentals..

Congratulations! Very good price. Did you negotiate with the buyer directly on DNS or just let the brokers handle it? If you did do it by yourself, does DNS get a cut either ways? Congrats again... good news for sure.

that's the beauty of VR domains.. that they could cater to two different markets as long as the term/keyword makes sense generally, giving a higher sales probability than other comparable tech niche domains

true enough.

there were many mostly country/city+vr sales already.. that went vacation rental way. nonetheless, those that do make sense for both niches, are the minority. not majority.. still! better minority than nothing. bestVR would make a killer vacation rental domain.. and VR domain. so I guess we'll see what buyer hand in mind iwth it.. I own FavoriteVR which imo is also one of the domains that could go for both niches. cheers
