Under the username radiobutton I recently made a small contribution to the wikipedia page on Emoji Domains.
After finding all the emoji without a code, I simply added
"With the exception of the information emoji, the trademark emoji and the "m" emoji".
Previously the first sentence read.
For an emoji to work as a domain it needs a Punycode.
In other words if you have a domain name with those letters you can swap them out with the emoji and it will still resolve, even .co
At the moment only Instagram and LinkedIn display it. You can use it in your Instagram bio, and people viewing it on an Android device, or desktop should see it, and on LinkedIn it works in Posts to some extent. It is still very early days obviously.
