Im slowly getting to know and understand suffixes (just a little) but what is the significance of different suffixes, e.g. .info, beer, .etc. Some are common but some sound strange. Thank you in advance

COM/NET/ORG = legacy gTLD.
2 letter extensions are ccTLD (Country Code).

Some others like biz/info have existed for a couple decades.

Most of the others were launched with the new gTLD program.
Many of these have limited, if any, resale value.

NameBio.com is a good resource to look at reported sales in whatever extension.

Every year coming some new ones like mentioned beer. I think someday we will have all one word extensions that we can imagine.
