It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

Be careful not to drink the koolaid made from Washington blueberries. It may or may not have played a part in taking down Epiks last CEO.
I wonder if the new CEO lives near the old CEO?

Monster was always inviting people to pick his blueberries...good for the body and mind he would say. Sure hope he got a good harvest this year.

Epik.com can never fully rebuild their "brand" because any time the name comes up so will the people who the registrar stole money from.

That is outside the other toxic stuff like extreme clients, conspiracy theories, and data breaches that are tied to the registrar.

Outside that, I am not buying the idea that only Rob Monster and Brian Royce knew what was going on.

The idea that no other employees, partners, or investors knew shady shit was going on defies common sense.

We didn't buy Epik Inc or Epik Holdings Inc, or Masterbucks LLC. or any of the weird creations of Brian Royce or Rob Monster to take over the free speech world.

You purchased the website, certainly, but for 8 months, until the registrar accreditation change, everything was managed by the "old" Epik Inc, just as it had been in previous years. The only thing that changed during those 8 months was that any payment request for domain sales previously made through the same website (Epik.com) and through the same registrar (Epik Inc) was met with the response that you were now the new Epik LLC and that they should instead contact Masterbucks LLC, which never responded to anyone.

Don’t you think this situation has created even more confusion and given the fraudsters more chances to get away with it, as the majority of people, after facing so many difficulties, simply give up?

Also, some things don't add up, such as the fact that any receipt for payments made on Epik.com was directed to an account in Sammamish (I believe the new Epik could have opened a new bank account in another city within those 8 months).

Masterbucks was in a class of dumpster fire all by itself. Legally speaking, there was a very hard line there we couldn't touch with a football field length pole. It looked like full-blown fraud to us. So we agreed to buy assets like the customer base, the domain registrations, software, and the web sites. Basically, the functional components that make a pure-play registrar.

I think everyone has realized by now that Masterbucks was essentially non-existent, a phantom company created by Brian Royce, taking advantage of the confusion where sales profits appeared on a separate site (masterbucks.com) to attribute all debts—at least on paper—and present a debt-free Epik to potential buyers like yourselves. Most of the sales even preceded the existence of Masterbucks LLC in September 2022, and in any case, there was no reference to "Masterbucks" when making a sale on Epik.com.


Then, as expected, the same company was dissolved after the sale of Epik.com, making it much more difficult for anyone to get their money back.

By accepting a contract that acknowledges its existence, you were unknowingly used in their scheme. Would you act the same way knowing what you know now, or would you do things differently?

it's a lot of read and maybe I missed something but did new owners yes or no know about exact money amounts owed and to whom by epik? and is the legal obligation here about new owners doing their own research or about old owners disclosing all debts... ?

As you are no doubts aware, old Epik had security issues. The backend, developed and supported by guys from "We can build it" (or something similar, do not remember exact name), was far from perfect. Since you are here and explan that Epik is all new and fine, can you please share did you resolve all these issues, and, if so, how. In particular, who is now responsible for development / support / upgrades of the codebase, servers, etc?

I would like to know that as well.

Outside Adkisson and Kathleen, I am not aware of many people who were paid.

In those cases Epik and related parties had serious legal exposure, so it is not a surprise those were prioritized while almost everyone else was left holding the bag.

Yes, the money that was paid to you came from new Epik, Epik, LLC. I spoke with the attorney that initiated the transfer of funds several times. He ended up quitting because he said this wasn't worth it...lol. I feel guilty now, he seemed like nice guy. i don't know if money came from the slush fund set up for Monster's victims in asset purchase agreement or was in addition to that but it definitely came from them.

And US law doesn't require them to settle Monster's debts. Everyone needs to sue Monster and his wife. That is the only way.

It seems that Epik's promotional activity has died down here. Instead of new simpletons, old ones come and demand to return the stolen money.

Absolutely.

For accounts here, this is the only one I'm using. I'll look into the others - they may be old, or had been used by others. Really, we only need this one.

Sarah works for us now, yes. I've worked with her extensively over the past year, and she's one of the good people. I've heard a lot about former Epik employees, and I'll say that she doesn't fall into that mold. I'm not asking you to take my word for it, of course, but I'm certain that as time passes, you'll see that it was a good hire. I even sent her a box of gourmet chocolate chip cookies a couple months ago for going above and beyond. But I'm a softie like that.

To my knowledge, I'm pretty sure she's the only one we made an employee of our Epik.
