Good luck with your sales!

Man, 2023 has been brutal in some ways… Really hope 2024 will be kind.
Managed a few sales though, and I thank God for them. Reporting some below:

Domain: SecGPT [.com]

SP: $595
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN
CP: $8.99 [handreg]
HT: 42 days
SL: DAN landers

P.S.: Repricing mishap. Congrats to the buyer.

Domain: ZeeAesthetics [.com]

SP: $998
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN
CP: $8.99 [handreg]
HT: 55 days
SL: Afternic landers

P.S.: This name was inspired by a SquadHelp contest. I’d submitted it, as an unregistered entry, to an aesthetics/injectables business name contest. The contest holder gave it an average rating, but I had a strong feeling someone would want it and it would soon be taken... Registered it, put it up for sale, and it sold—to an aesthetics/injectables business.

Domain: LabelGPT [.com]

SP: $1,000
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN
CP: $8.99 [handreg]
HT: 62 days
SL: Afternic landers

P.S.: Data labeling is important in the AI/ML field.

Domain: Majestay [.com]

SP: $3,499
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN (facilitated by Afternic broker)
CP: $9.83 [handreg]
HT: 5 months + 12 days
SL: Afternic landers

P.S.: This name was inspired by a SquadHelp contest. “Majestay” is a blend of “majesty or majestic” and “stay.” It was the first idea that came to me when I read the contest brief, and one of the easiest but more decent ideas I’d thought of… Had a gut feeling it would sell, so I registered it and put it up for sale at DAN.

Things worked out well: Another creative had apparently also thought of the same idea and submitted it (IYDK: creatives can’t see each other’s submissions or contest holders’ shortlisted entries). Their entry ended up being picked as the winning entry, days after I’d registered the domain. They got their prize and naming credit. I got an immediate, motivated buyer who ended up buying the domain a few months later.

Would’ve been a couple of days HT, but we couldn’t come to an agreement. Switched to Afternic landers after a while and forgot about the domain. The buyer reached out to GoDaddy in April. The broker engaged with them for a couple of days and got them to pay the BIN price.

P.P.S.: Been a SquadHelp user since 2020 and won some contests there… Been feeling apathetic towards SH lately; haven’t participated much this year, haven’t logged in in months, not sure I have a future there, and I’m salty about some things… Still, I’ll say this: SH has been one of the top accelerators in my domaining journey, if not the main one... The SquadHelp GRIND is time-consuming and often disappointing, but there are some benefits to be gained too—inspiration, sharpening naming/domaining skills, etc.

Apologies for the long note.

Domain: iQGPT [.com]

SP: $1,999
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN
CP: $8.99 [handreg]
HT: 4 months + 6 days
SL: Dan landers

P.S.: Site is up.

Domain: RWAcasino [.com]

SP: $5,000
SV: DAN
ST: Inbound, Negotiation
CP: $8.69 [handreg]
HT: 4 months + 13 days
SL: Dan landers

P.S.: A while ago, someone noticed and posted about this sale on Twitter. This report answers the question of how much it sold for... Not much! I think it was bought by an investor who owns a bunch of other RWA names. The opening offer was $500, but after some back and forth, we closed at $5,000. Wish I could’ve gotten more for this, but I needed cash for other investment plays.

For anyone who’s wondering: RWA = Real World Assets.

Domain: WatchGPT [.com]

SP: $7,888
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN
CP: $8.99 [handreg]
HT: 6 months + 18 days
SL: Dan landers

P.S.: This is my only GPT name that has sold via DAN. All others have sold via Afternic. Overall, I haven’t had much luck with DAN. Wish it were different! :(

“WatchGPT” has been registered in over 40 extensions (DotDB shows 36). I don’t own any of those. Good luck to the holders.

Domain: InductAi [.com]

SP: $3,999
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN
CP: $8.99 [handreg]
HT: 6 months + 4 days
SL: SquadHelp landers [premium listing]

P.S.: Was lucky to have spotted this when it was on hold. Never changed nameservers so fast… Would’ve had to pay a 25% commission to Afternic and still pay SH their lesser cut… Paid a 15% commission fee to Afternic.

This domain had a BIN of $2,999 at SH, but it sold at Afternic for $3,999.

It was also rejected by SH in January. Re-submitted it in July, against my gut feeling, and it sold at Afternic 20 days after SH accepted it. Can’t tell if my gut was right because the buyer may have discovered the domain at SH or via their ads. May

Domain: FactGPT [.com]

SP: $8,995
SV: Afternic
ST: Inbound, BIN
CP: $8.99 [handreg]
HT: 7 months + 24 days
SL: Dan landers

P.S.: This domain had the most enquiries and offers of all my GPT domains across platforms, 1 fake $35k sale at DAN, and 1 unsuccessful DAN-brokered negotiation (at a much lower price). Hallucination and lack of factual responses/data are critical problems in the GPT/LLM space, so I figured this domain had a strong chance of selling. Just didn’t have enough patience to hold out for max value.

aave/./xyz - $27,888, Afternic BIN.

It's a 2021 HR domain + 2 renewals, total cost around $25.

The domain was in "On Hold" status for 2 days, on November 9th I received the email from Afternic that the domain was sold. I am very impressed by Afternic, today, November 13, in the early morning, I had the money in my bank account.

Portfolio size - 267 domains.

one of those occasional Sedo MLS sales

Sold : Mage/Data [com]
Venue: Sedo MLS ( nameservers ns5,ns6 AF)
Price: 1988 EUR ~ 2150 USD
Acquisition price : $38.67
Hold time: 1 year and 8 months
1700146171671.png

Some background info:

I noticed a pending sale on Sedo : here is how you can check this > sort the price column in ascending order. The first time buyer did not end up completing the transaction so I raised the price slightly to 1988 EUR. Two weeks later buyer came back and I once again saw the pending sale sign appeared. This time I raised the price on the GD landing page to 2788 to create a sense of urgency and luckily it has been closed. It was paid in a few hours despite there was a transfer between registrars.

Handreg,
Hold Time: 5 months (Bought on the 8th June for £6.50)
Inbound Purchase (BIN)
Used the Dan Landing Page
(This is also my first domain sale, so I'm pretty proud of this, I could have possibly have sold this for more, but I lost hope in domaining as I was impatient so I had the liquidation mindset and just left the domains for sale.
I have now increased my gpt domain prices in hopes for even higher profits next time)

(Just to confirm, Dan received the payment and I have transferred the domain to Dan, so it's safe to report it at this point)
