Fatal Accidents in US Nightclubs

96 bodies were recovered Friday in the deadly Rhode Island nightclub fire. The fire broke out when a pyrotechnic display ignited soundproofing material behind the stage. The fire engulfed the nightclub within a matter of three minutes.

This was the second fatal nightclub incident in just a matter of days. Monday 21 people died and more than 50 were injured in a nightclub stampede in Chicago, Illinois, that apparently began when a security guard used pepper spray to break up a fight.
