Happy Friday everyone!

I'm in final preparations for DNSeattle taking place this coming Thursday, May 12th. If you're in the Seattle area, I still have four tickets available for purchase (all proceeds benefit cancer research). If you're not in the Seattle area but want to check it out, Rightside is going to be streaming the event from dnseattle.live from 6-9pm Pacific, so come check it out.

Below is my "week prior" email getting everyone that's coming psyched for the event.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DNSeattle is going to be a 100+ person, fantastic networking event on Thursday, May 12th from 6-9pm at GoDaddy's HQ in Kirkland. And don't forget about the after party! (Details below.)

== SHOW ME THE MONEY ==

Yes, we'll have socializing and networking, but we also have a phenomenal educational program planned.

This year's program is focused on domain name liquidity: what is it, where was it, where is it going to be?

Our expert panel includes:
✓ Jeffrey Emerick: Individual investor
✓ Joe Styler: Aftermarket Product Manager, GoDaddy
✓ Dave Evanson: Senior Sales Broker, Sedo

Money talks, everything else walks. Whether it's acronyms, numerics, new Gs, premium generics -- we're going to learn what's liquid, for what amount, and where.

It's going to be a fantastic program. Did I say fantastic? I meant YUUGE.

== THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS ==
In addition to our awesome Premier Sponsor and host, GoDaddy, and these fantastic Supporting Sponsors, we have raised thousands of dollars for cancer research (details at the event):

Be sure to click the sponsor banners above and check out all they have to offer.

At DNSeattle on May 12th, we'll be giving away the following items to three lucky attendees thanks to our Festivities Sponsors:

  1. One Pro level domainIQ gift certificate ($599 value)
  2. One Intermediate EstiBot gift certificate ($599 value)
  3. One Pro level DNAcademy tuition ($499 value)
Be sure to bring business cards for your entries to these prize pools.

== SPIN THOSE RECORDS ==

Back by popular demand from the last DNSeattle event, DJ Statton -- the one and only track-throwing, mix-spinning, attorney-turned-DJ from Rightside will be entertaining us and creating an unbelievable mood that will make you want to socialize, have a great time, and maybe even dance (doubtful, but maybe).

== AFTER PARTY ==

That's right. DNSeattle formally ends at 9pm, but after a short stroll across the street we'll continue our festivities in the "Living Room" at the Woodmark Hotel.

Check out where the after party will be:

== HOTEL ==

If you're coming from out of town, GoDaddy has secured a special rate at the Woodmark Hotel next to their office -- which will make getting to bed after the party much more efficient.

See DNSeattle.com FAQ section for details.

== TRAVEL ==
SEA is the airport code if you're flying into Seattle and need to book a flight. It's about 45 minutes from the airport to the GoDaddy headquarters at Building 5000, Main Floor 5200 Carillon Point, Kirkland, WA 98033.

But remember, even though Seattle is "small" by some city standards, we still have plenty of traffic too. Try not to schedule travel during rush hours.

Also, we do have Uber, making it easier to get around.

== BUSINESS CARDS ==
Even though we're all electronified, people still appreciate business cards when making connections and building relationships. You can take notes on them and prioritize post-event conversations. Plus, it's kinda weird to beam someone your contact information.

It's not too late to get yours printed up...get on it.

== SEE YOU SOON ==
That's all for now.

Oh, no, one more thing:

See you on Thursday in Kirkland! I'll send one final email before that day.

Any questions, just reply to this email.

Best regards,
Mike

DNSeattle will focus on domain name buying, selling, monetizing, due diligence and legal issues, success stories from Seattle-based entrepreneurs and investors, and much more.

All DNSeattle proceeds go to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (https://www.fredhutch.org/) in Seattle, WA. They find miracle cures, like a recent immunotherapy treatment that took 27 of 29 terminal cancer patients into remission. It's remarkable. Learn more: http://no_url_shorteners/20DiL8Z
